I really really really hate feeling stupid, and thus I remain quiet when I might have actually said something funny or intelligent. He says that sometimes he does say stupid things. But,there is a pay off, which is that he says enough really funny (and intelligent) things, and gets the credit for being a funny and intelligent person. Thus, the benefit outweighs the risk (do you know people who think Jeff is stupid?) If you throw enough stuff out there, you are bound to maybe say something dumb from time to time, but most of what you say is just fine, so the "stupid" stuff just gets overlooked.<br />I think you benefit too.
