Okay, so part of my Project: Best.Summer.Ever. is a personal goal to read all of the books on my bookshelf that I haven't read yet. I'm a fast reader, so with no professor telling me what to read I should be able to plow through these in the next three months, no problem. Except that I'm also a fickle reader--I read the way I eat, based on what feels good at the moment. None of these books has compelled me to make time to read them yet, so reading these books might be the literary equivalent of eating my vegetables.
Because a blog is good for nothing if not oversharing, here's my Summer Reading List.

I love your reading list.
Your mother read a bit of Twinkie deconstructed and said that it started interesting but got very technical and boring.
I'm currently working my way through 19th wife. Wow, what a brain-burner. It offends me on just about every level, which means of course I can't stop listening to it!
Oh, and I read "If I die in a combat zone." I loved it and went through a batch of Viet Nam related books because of it.
I like Malcolm Gladwell. I can't remember if I read tipping point, but his stuff is interesting. Did we discuss "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat?" That one is really interesting too. Maybe you read it already. I don't really have many suggestions though - I tend to get my reading list from you :)
I couldn't finish the 2nd Beyonders book. It's just not that good, in my humble opinion.

I decided to start with "The Ridiculous Race" which is about two guys who make a bet on who can travel around the world without airplanes the fastest. It's funny. Plus I started it last year and got halfway through, so it's like a head start. I'll take any advantage I can get. :)
I liked the first Beyonders, I thought it was better than the first few Fablehavens. Although second books in trilogies are always a crapshoot.
